Interesting article. I had a call today from Colorado from someone wanting to rent (or rent to own) a lakefront property here in Madison WI because they have two homes on the market and cannot buy. We do have some lakefront property that has been vacant for a long time. The question is how to approach the seller or seller's agent on these questions and make it work for everyone involved. Our market is not accustomed to rent to own or lease option scenarios and my experience with it to date has been that sellers are either totally against it or only slightly interested. I have to admit, I'm not keen to get involved either. Seems the compensation is rather iffy and/or the timeframe is extremely prolonged. But it may be a necessity if things get worse or stay the same for a long time before they get better.

Hi PRM,

I like the approach you have taken to giving the home a more in-depth tour and the production quality is excellent.

The two things I have some reservations about are the personality of the hosts in the videos and length of the video.

The issue you're going to run into is bordering on the price of artifice over authenticity. While I felt both agents did a great job giving a tour of the home I also didn't feel connected to their presentation or feel that there was genuine passion for each home.

The length is tough because you're doing full tours of the homes but keep in kind that internet users have short attention spans. I would recommend a video length of 3 - 3 1/2 minutes tops.

All that aside, they are still stunning and beautifully produced videos. Thanks for sharing them!

Hi Joshua,

Our company has also been trying to create a new type of property video that integrates both the property as well as simulates an actual walk through. I think the challenge with real estate video is that it is already beginning to look outdated. The Virtual tours can be misleading (as only views that show the home to it's absolute best) are chosen. I think consumers are really wanting something more real. We have tried really hard to capture that with our new style of videos. What do you think? Does it work?

Amazing collection of penthouses, particularly the rooftop gardens of 100 Seagrove Lane Penthouse. Apogee here in South Florida is one of the newer condos which has been generating a lot of demand.
